You should be OK. I hope you have actually seen the apartments. A $700-800 per month apartment in Seattle is quite cheap and may not be in a very desirable area. Utilities can be expensive. Comcast offers the best cablevision and high speed internet service but they are very expensive and keep raising their rates. Groceries are not bad if you avoid what we call the designer grocery stores like QFC. Your bus p will help a lot but you will want to look at King County Metro as you might even be able to get a cheaper p. We have a good bus system.
