Is there Religious Persecution in our Modern World?

I'm doing a report in comparing religious persecution from about the middle ages and now, seeing the similarities and differences, but i was wondering, what are the forms of religious persection in the world today? Like hundreds of years ago, Christians were fed to lions etc, for just believing in there religion, what happens these days? Is there still any form of religious persecution in our world? It would be of great help, and i really appreciate it =)
